DepEd mainstreams GILAS
Monday, 21 November 2011 00:00

According to Mr. Zobel, “This success is due in large measure, to you, our many GILAS partners who shared in our aspiration, tirelessly worked with us to achieve it, and committed significant resources to realize our vision of an empowered, educated and informed youth.”

GILAS mobilized more than P365 million from multi-sector sources that include national government agencies; representatives from the Senate and Congress; local government agencies; as well as profit and non-profit organizations, both local and international, and from individual Filipinos here in the country and abroad, specifically in the US, where Ayala Foundation USA, now PhilDev, was able to raise about $1.5 million from Filipino diaspora and friends of the Philippines.
